2004 Art of Movement
The Art of Movement was a program conducted in association with the City of Greater Bendigo, Cultural Development and Events, St Luke's, Primary Care Partnership and Future Connections. The workshops were running from February to November 2004. A total of 22 young people aged 16-21 participated in the program learning a range of circus skills, acting techniques, digital video and photography techniques. The program was designed in four stages each stage and ran for approximately twelve weeks. The first stage was circus skills development led by local artist Team Henderson, the following two stages involved basic acting and video recording of short scripts. The fourth stage was run by a local artist Gael Emond and structured around the use of disposable cameras, basic technical knowledge in use of analogue and digital cameras, scanning and processing images, and making projection screens. Selected images were exhibited at the exhibition Disposable Moments at Dudley House in Bendigo in November 2004.
